American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Amazing bakery in the shadow of the World Trade Center museum. Located conveniently and worth the trip! Freshly baked and delicious pastries and sandwiches. Staff was warm and welcoming. The coffee was rich and velvety. I had the iced espresso with freshly whipped cold foam and would drive back just for it. The almond croissant was filled with a decadent almond paste and the cookie croissant was worth every calorie!!

Really nice bakery my always number one choice for breakfast while Iβm in New York City. The staff are very polite and helpful and the bakery has a great range of options both salty and sweet ones. They also have fresh orange juice which is the highlight for me. It has enough space for you to sit down and enjoy it. Furthermore the bakery is located right across the subway station which makes it convenient to get wherever you want afterwards and start your day.

Finally, a cafΓ© in Lower Manhattan where you can actually sit, relax, and enjoy your coffee ββ¨ Siena Bakehouse is truly a hidden gem in the Financial District. The croissant was perfectly flaky, buttery, and incredibly fresh π₯ you can immediately taste the quality. The coffee was smooth and well-balanced, perfect for a peaceful break in the middle of the busy city. One of the best things about Siena Bakehouse is their beautiful indoor seating πͺ which is actually rare to find in Lower Manhattan. The atmosphere feels calm, stylish, and welcoming β ideal whether you want to relax, meet a friend, or get some work done π» Everything from the design to the pastry display feels thoughtfully curated and inviting π€ definitely a place youβll want to come back to again. Highly recommend if youβre in the Financial District and looking for great coffee, fresh pastries, and a cozy place to sit βπ₯β¨

Had a late morning meeting, close to Wall Street. Realized my brain would function better with a great cup of coffee. As I walked out of Rector street station, Siena Bakehouse appeared, and I took that as a sign, to sit, sip, and savor coffee. Siena Bakehouse did not disappoint! Upon arriving the gentleman behind the counter was warm, and delightful. All of the staff are friendly, personable, and take the time to explain where the coffee beans originated. The pastries are next level featuring crème brûlée donuts, croissants filled with nutella supreme, and pistachio fillings. Will try on my next visit! This is also a great place to grab a "better than your local deli" sandwich for lunch. The Prosciutto di Parma sandwich is stacked with high-quality charcuterie and fresh mozzarella, while the Smoked Salmon Everything Croissant offers a bit of decadence for the morning. Cannot go wrong with either choice. The atmosphere is cozy, modern styled cafe with terracotta table tops, floor to ceiling windows that are perfect for watching people stroll by while sipping great artisanal coffee. This was a perfect morning experience to start what was going to be a busy, and hectic day!
